In the film Stalker (1979), a suburban town experiences phenomena that transcend the laws of physics and human understanding. The mysterious area is called the Zone. In ZONE: A Gazing Practise of Ears, an attempt is made to use sound as a device through which the audience can perceive the lost space within the sound field. As audiences hear the modulated sounds that change with time and space, their sensory perceptions of here and there, near and far become accustomed, and are blurred.
